McMinnville Oregon UFO Festival a Great Time & A Whole Lot of Fun
May 17, 2010 - 8:45pm
This last weekend I presented the June Crain Story to 325 plus people at the McMinnville Community Center as part of the 11th Annual UFO Festival. I had the honor of being the lead-off speaker of three. The other two presenters are legendary - Travis Walton and Colin Andrews. And Peter Davenport was an eloquent and gentlemanly master of ceremonies throughout.
For those who might not know these gentlemen by their accomplishments and reputations:
Peter Davenport is the Director of the National UFO Reporting Center. I have known Peter since the early nineties. I respect him as a consummate professional and his dedication to documenting the unfolding of the great Mystery of the UFO Phenomena has been meticulous. He has shown a level of devotion to staying the course that I don’t believe very many others would even attempt.
Travis Walton did not volunteer for the event that changed his life and made his experience one of the most powerfully convincing Alien Abduction events. (Travis Walton Website) I had hoped to hear his story in person for many years since I read his book. I was honored to present with him. He was clear, honest, and spoke with a humility that touched everyone who heard him. His story was made into a movie called “Fire in the Sky.” He was the first one to point out that Hollywood altered the story to make it more sensational.
Colin Andrews is certainly one of the world’s foremost Crop Circle Researchers. He managed to compress a huge and complex history of Circle formation and made a very strong case that the entire phenomena, both the Circles made by humans and by Others, comprise a deeper conversation on levels we only are beginning to understand. He related one story, currently being investigated involving the interactions between a British policeman and three Entities who were apparently creating a formation as he approached. What a superb event. It has something for everyone. This was one of the best audiences I can recall. Great questions, and in a couple of instances, there were people who were brave enough to share some personal encounters with High Strangeness Events. The staff of McMenamin’s was friendly and hardworking. It was an Alien Blast and best of all, right in a delightful city not far from Portland, Oregon.
The three presenters met for the first time in the Rooftop Bar at the McMenamin’s Hotel Oregon in downtown McMinnville, the heart of the UFO Festival.

Left to Right: James Clarkson, Tim Hills, Senior Historian for McMenamin’s Hotels, Peter Davenport, Travis Walton, and Colin Andrews.
By the end of Travis Walton’s presentation I knew as strongly and as confidently as I know June told me the truth that Travis’ experience is exactly as he described. I knew it another way because as a former cop I knew what kind of search went on for Travis when the Sheriff believed he had been murdered. Travis wasn’t found because he wasn’t anywhere on earth to be found. (Period!)

And just in case there are those who think us Ufologists are a little too serious, just look into the red light please.

Most of all I had another chance to tell June’s story to a great group of people and I did what I could to help serve the commitment we share to getting the Truth out there in front of the public where it belongs. Thank you to all of the wonderful people we met in McMinnville. Much thanks to McMenamin’s Senior Historian Tim Hills, the AV Wizard Rand Deahl, and all of the staff who worked so hard to make it all come off so well. It was an honor to work with you.
