MYSTERY CONTINUES at HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

September 18, 2009 - 9:21pm

E-Mail Report Received at Clarksonufo.com:

I wanted to inform you of what I think was a UFO my girlfriend and I saw yesterday afternoon in Houston.  After picking up my girlfriend in the early evening (around 6:30 PM), we noticed a relatively large, bright red-orange light in the western sky, it appeared oblong in shape, maybe at around 35-45 degrees from the horizon.  At first I didn’t think anything of it (being an admitted skeptic), but I was surprised at how clearly it stood out since it was still daylight—it literally looked like a random bright spot in the sky.  I noticed that it was traveling extremely slowly, too slow to be a plane or helicopter, which I also thought was odd.  Then the object started to turn, at which point I thought I could see it from another vantage point to figure out what it was.  The next thing I know it literally disappeared into nothingness, and I was left saying “What the hell happened, how could something that big just disappear?”  My girlfriend said that she saw it rapidly speed up before disappearing.

After checking online to see if anyone else saw it, I came across your website and the pilot’s description of what he saw at the Houston airport.  I thought, “That is exactly the type of object I saw!” (except for the part where it drops a smaller object)—a bright red-orange light in the western sky moving very slowly that suddenly just vanished.

I thought I would write you because it was almost too much coincidence for me to ignore, even though, as I mentioned, I have never considered myself a UFO enthusiast, and if anything, a UFO skeptic.  Maybe you have heard of others who saw the object?  We were in a relatively densely populated area of Houston, surely we couldn’t have been the only ones to see it!

Thanks!
